Korean dog proves he’s the ulti-mutt best friend

A 1-year-old Jindo dog named Hong-min trekked more than 12 miles over the course of 41 days to reunite with his lucky owner.

  • Yoon Jeong-sang said Hong-min, who returned in relatively good health, ran off due to loud noises at a Jindo Dog exhibition held on March 24 in Daejeon city.

  • “It’s like a dream to meet Hong Min again. I’m thankful she came home, and I will raise her well for the rest of my life,” Yoon said.

Korean ramen is a global hit

For the first time, South Korea’s monthly ramen exports hit the $100 million mark in April, with local movies and TV shows being credited as driving forces for the global surge.

  • The Korea Customs Service announced on Sunday that the nation’s instant noodle exports earned $108.6 million in April, surpassing a previous record of $92.91 million in February.

  • Samyang Foods, whose buldak ramen is a trendy favorite, accounts for the majority of the ramen exports from South Korea, which anticipates reaching the $1 billion mark for its ramen exports by the end of the year.

  • When asked last month about what the status was of a sequel to the 2018 breakthrough hit he starred in, a skeptical Henry said it is “never happening.” 

  • Happening for sure though is the upcoming Broadway stage musical version of “Crazy Rich Asians,” which original director Jon M. Chu is developing.
